How to use Redact PDF

Draw a box over every area that must be hidden.

Choose the bar colour and the "rasterise" option for maximum safety.

Save. The hidden areas are gone from the file, not just covered.
With rasterisation enabled the page is redrawn as an image, so the underlying text is genuinely removed. Without it the bar only covers the content visually.

Are my files uploaded?
No. Redact PDF runs entirely in your browser using the local PDF engines. Your document is never transmitted to a server, which is why it also keeps working offline.

Yes. Any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS can run the tool, the interface adapts to the screen size.
